This beautiful town has over 1000 years of religious and military history. Taunton castle has its origins in the Anglo Saxon period, the Normans then built a stone structured castle, which belonged to the bishops of Winchester. The town centre is fully pedestrianized  and has no hills which creating a very attractive environment. The town centre also boasts some outstanding  restaurants, cafes and tea rooms.

This beautiful town is steeped in history, from the beautiful  architecture  to the simply stunning   Glastonbury Tor. One of the refreshing aspects of Glastonbury is that it is not over commercialized and very few large coaches visit.

Most memorable though will be the 'new age', mystic shops and the hippy like characters who have made Glastonbury their home.

It is a mystic, myth and legend backdrop that weaves its way through everything you will visit and see at Glastonbury.
